Arc is hosting a MedTech Hackathon to help our local health sector better cope with current & future health crises. Calling all innovators!

Overview: Arc is hosting a MedTech Hackathon to help our local health sector better cope with current & future health crises.

The Hackathon is an intensive weekend event, where teams with innovative ideas for hardware or software products, are given the opportunity to pitch their concept, showcase the strength of their team and demonstrate their perceived market opportunity in the medtech space.

The focus of the event is to tackle pervasive problems in medicine and biomedicine with the aid of technology, attracting participants from a wide range of backgrounds: from doctors and scientists to graphic designers, entrepreneurs and engineers.

*This event is offered both in person and virtually and caters for both QLD based and interstate teams.

A list of industry challenges can be found here: https://arc.space/programs-3/

The event is designed to connect, inspire and test the skill and strength of tomorrow’s innovators in the medtech field.

Who is it for? It’s open to anyone and everyone to attend! In the past we have hosted a wide range of participants, including: designers, engineers, developers, coders, business minded individuals (finance, law and marketing), social scientists and experienced professionals.

Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or new to the Hackathon world, if you are motivated to build a product or startup and open to new ideas in the Medtech space, then the Hackathon is perfect for you.

Yes, we accept already formed teams that have already developed a product that solves on of the challenges posted!

You can either register as a team or as an individual. Once you register, you will be sent a questionnaire to fill out with your preferences. If you register as an individual you will be allocated to a team by Arc staff based on your preferences.

This event if offered both in person and virtually for QLD and interstate teams. If you are a local, you will be able to utilise the Arc facilities and equipment to develop or progress your prototype. The questionnaire will include the equipment that you will have access to at Arc.

What do you get out of it? Hackathon’s are a great way for individuals to experience working in existing or newly formed teams, and quickly solve industry specific problems by developing new technologies. It’s an immersive experience and a great way to learn the process of developing a startup.
