According to Infertility Solutions, 1 in 6 Australian couples will have trouble getting pregnant. It has also been proven that 1 in every 35 Australian men will suffer from fertility issues and women make up about 40% of all treated infertility cases in Australia.
As a tech category, fertility technology is quickly gaining momentum and projected by Fortune Business Insights to be a global $ 45 billion market by 2026 due to increasing adoption of advanced fertility services. This Top 3 list will highlight Australiaās leading fertility technology companies providing individuals with groundbreaking healthcare solutions to improve their odds of building a family.
Life Whisperer
Life Whisperer is a product from the company Presagen, a company that produces AI enhanced healthcare products. Life Whisperer improves the chances of a successful IVF experience with a cloud based AI system. The technology utilizes over 20,000 globally sourced 2D embryo images to train itās accuracy and to quickly identify features invisible to the human eye.
Clinics around the world use Life Whisperer to help skilled embryologists identify the most viable embryos for their patients. With greater IVF certainty, more people can attempt IVF to build their family.

Genea has created several fertility tech products including Geri, an incubator designed to mimic the undisturbed environment of a woman's womb. Patients who have used the Geri have seen a 24% increase in the number of pregnancies compared to those who use a traditional incubator.
Genea has also developed the Grow by Genea app which allows patients to see their embryos as they grow in the lab. Through smartphone or tablet, patients have 24/7 access to photos and videos that can be downloaded and made easy to share with friends and family. This feature product allows the family to feel closer and more connected throughout the IVF process.
Fertility technology will no doubt continue to develop more personalised and accessible healthcare solutions for those struggling to conceive. Fertility issues are more common than we realise, and there are still many gaps in the fertility journey where innovation could support. Particularly as we learn more about how infertility affects those of varying minority groups, classes, and socioeconomic standings, fertility technology will need to develop to better support those individuals in their journey to build a family.
